Reset tool procedure for calendar reset

E36 (1991 - 1999) - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums - www.bimmerfest.com
Hi Everyone

I bought one of these reset tools to enable me to reset the oil service and inspection service indicators. I've found lots of advice on the internet on how to use these tools to reset oil and inspection indicators, but nothing on how to reset the "calendar inspection" (for want of a better description...)

I leant my car to my mom for a few years and she hardly drove it. Now that I have it back, the calendar inspection light has come on, but I still have 3 green lights until the next service.

I've now changed the coolant and brake fluid and now want to reset only the calendar inspection, without affecting the 3 green lights...Any ideas, or am I being over-pedantic?

Thanks everyone!

Johan
