Hi, I have a 2007 isuzu crosswind XT, it has a recurring problem : Engine stop when I shift from 3rd gear to 4th gear. What should I do to fix this recurring problem.

Was driving and transmission seemingly cut out would Rev but would not move in any gear it is an automatic with 4 wheel drive. After the engine was shut off it will no longer start. As well when trying to start it makes a metallic grinding noise. Fluids were check and we're ok. Any ideas?
