Daihatsu cars' brakes

Asian Manufacturers - CarForums.com - www.carforums.com
Why do ALL of the Daihatsu cars have rear drum brakes? (disc/drum)

They never have 4 wheel disc cars, except for the Altis, which is a Toyota Camry. Even their SUV, the Terios has rear drum brakes. Their sports car, the Copen as well. How can you have a sports car with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes? I find this very ridiculous and unsafe. Daihatsu is pretty hopeless. 4 wheel disc cars are not popular to them. Since they are very addicted to rear drums, let their logo be a drum brake and their motto be "D is for drums".
