The BMW Tupac was Shot in is on Sale for a Cool $1.5 Million
Fame and infamy are decidedly different concepts, but sometimes they overlap. That's the case with this 1996 BMW 7 Series.
That's because this is the car that Tupac Shakur was killed in. And now you can own it but it won't come cheap.
Celebrity Car Las Vegas is offering this restored 7 Series for $1.5 million, which its place in music history may warrant.
For those who aren't up on their hip hop history, rap legend Tupac Shakur was shot to death on September 7, 1996 while on his way away from a boxing match at the MGM in Las Vegas.
Considered one of the great rappers of his day, Tupac's shooter was never found and theories about who killed him and why abound. Regardless, his death and the later death of his rival Biggie Smalls are considered to be genre-defining moments in the history of hip hop.
For anyone wondering, the car has since been restored and all the bullet holes have been filled in. There may still be a small indentation where one of the bullets entered, but it's minor.
Frankly, it's a bit dark, but people do like that kind of thing and it is a genuine piece of music history.
Fortunately, you don't have to want to buy it to see it, you just have to be in Vegas, because this car is currently on display at Celebrity Cars in Las Vegas.
