"Lost" mileage due to bad speed sensor when odometer and speedometer not working?

1995 - 2001 (E38) - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum - forums.bimmerforums.com
In February of 2016 my '01 740il threw the "trifecta" lights on the dash (DSC, Brake, ABS) which was remedied by having the the driver front speed sensor replaced.

Last month I got the trifecta again, only this time the speedometer and odometer stopped working as well (mileage did not advance).

I estimate I drove maybe 45-60 unaccounted for miles before having the driver rear speed sensor replaced which fortunately fixed everything.

(I didn't even notice the mileage wasn't accruing for the first day or two...)

However, the mileage in the cluster didn't "catch-up".

My understanding (thanks to blackknight530i) is that the car's mileage and VIN are stored in 3 places:

1) Cluster

2) Light Control Module (LCM)

3) EWS (immobilizer module)

Not a huge deal for such a small difference, but if the mileage is now different between the cluster and LCM/EWS is there a way to sync it back again?
