BMW - Replacing rear shocks -- question

E60 (2004 - 2010) - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums - www.bimmerfest.com
Folks, I'm considering replacing my rear shocks.

But, I inspected the rear suspension today and found that the rubbers were failing on the control arm and wishbones (see # 14 and 19 on the attached pic). The connections are tight and still good.

They're fine for now, but here's the question if you have replaced your shocks:

Do I need to remove the control arms and wishbones to replace the rear shocks? If not, I'll do them without the shocks (or do the shocks without them) and come back to them later when I do the brakes. If so, I'll do them all at once.

Thanks!
