Active 3-way vs stock 3-way?

System Design - Help Me Choose Equipment For My Car - DIYMA Car Audio Forum - www.diymobileaudio.com
First: I've been out of Car Audio for a very long time but I feel that I must do this new car purchase some justice.

I bought a 2008 G37 coupe that has only nine thousand miles. Literally the car looks and smells brand-new. some of you might know, this came with a bose 3-way front stage. It has a 10 inch subwoofer(very shallow mount) in the door paired up with a 3" midrange driver and tweeter. I never thought I'd say this but this system actually sounds decent. I want to keep the stock non navigation head unit because I don't want to go through the hassle of adding a very ugly aftermarket dash kit. The only dash kit made for this vehicle makes the interior look like pure crap.

Right now I have a JL Audio 6 channel D class amplifier headed via FedEx to my house. Should I try to power the current stock 3-way or just trash the whole entire front stage and add all new speakers? I'm going to add a kicker summing device so that I can keep the current stock head unit and add this 6 Channel amplifier for the front stage and also a monoblock amplifier to power an FI Audio SSD 10 inch subwoofer in the trunk. I have very limited space for a subwoofer in my tiny trunk. I found a car audio shop that has fiberglass speaker enclosures specifically made for my car that will only fit a 10 inch subwoofer.

I've never done this before but I've always wanted to run an active 3-way stage system. Buy individual drivers specifically to the type of music I listen to. For the record I listen to mostly modern death and black metal. I like my music loud but I want a be able to hear solid double bass Kick Drum coming from the front. I don't want to go to extreme with this system. I've already spent enough money on rims and other accessories for this car. I want it to sound good but I don't want to get totally ridiculous with this system so I guess we can call this a budget system.

If I get enough suggestions to not go stock, I need suggestions for speakers for this active 3-way system. I I will have someone doing the tuning professionally. I'm also looking at running a mini DSP 6 x 8 I'm not certain does it have Bluetooth capabilities? Anyone here have any experience witha Cadence DSP?

Sorry for the long post.
